Cavalcade of Lights kicks off the holiday season in Toronto with the first lighting of Toronto’s Official Christmas Tree and Nathan Phillips Square. The event features live musical performances, a DJ skating party, and a spectacular fireworks display.

The CNE is presenting this year's Aurora Winter Festival. Join us for this magical trip where York-Durham Heritage Railway will be providing service to the North Pole onboard THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride this holiday season.
The magical story comes to life starting in our enchanted Christmas tent with a magical tree lighting followed with the train one hour t round-trip train ride to the North Pole. Set to the sounds of the motion picture soundtrack, with singers and dancers passengers will relive the magic of the story as they are whisked away on THE POLAR EXPRESS™.
Once onboard, hot chocolate and treats are served as passengers read along with the classic children’s book, The Polar Express, by Chris Van Allsburg. Santa and his helpers greet passengers at the North Pole and then board the train, where everyone is given the first gift of Christmas. Pajamas for children of all ages is encouraged!
